Loughborough University is offering prospective engineering students the opportunity to attend an ‘experience day’ in July to see if an engineering degree is right for them.
Loughborough is one of the largest engineering universities in the UK, having offered courses in this area since its inception in 1909.
To help the next generation of engineers, the university is offering Year 11 students the chance to take part in a special event that will take place over two days – 5 and 6 July. Students are welcome to attend either or both days (although the event is not residential).
The event will include workshops delivered by academics, researchers and expert alumni who are currently working in the engineering industry; opportunities to explore different types of engineering and the careers that they provide entry into; information about the different courses on offer at Loughborough University; and the chance to ask current students questions about their experience and what it’s like to study at Loughborough.
According to the university, the Experience Day provides a fantastic way to see first-hand what studying engineering at Loughborough is like, in addition to enhancing their personal statement and CV. Attendees can also meet and hear from inspiring industry experts.
Students interested in attending can register their place here.
